The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially released the schedule for the supplementary examinations of intermediate (11th and 12th class) students for the year 2023. According to a press release issued by the BIEK, the supplementary exams are scheduled to commence on Monday, January 15, 2024, and will run until February 6, 2024. The examination sessions will be divided into morning and evening shifts to accommodate the diverse range of student groups.
In the morning shift, papers will begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 11:30 am. The evening shift will start at 2:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm. This schedule caters to students belonging to various groups, including Science Pre-Medical, Science Pre-Engineering, Science General, Home Economics, Commerce Regular, Commerce Private, Arts Regular, Arts Private, Private Candidates, and Home Economics groups.
To maintain the integrity and fairness of the examination process, the BIEK has implemented strict measures. The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is strictly prohibited within the examination centers. Additionally, any student found cheating or in possession of a mobile phone during the exams will face serious consequences, being deemed ineligible for the next three years.
The BIEK has taken steps to facilitate a smooth examination process by establishing 47 examination centers across Karachi. Furthermore, a monitoring cell has been instituted at the Commissioner’s Office in Karachi to supervise the conduct of the exams and promptly address any grievances or complaints that may arise during the examination period.
With these measures in place, the BIEK aims to ensure that the supplementary exams are conducted with utmost fairness, transparency, and efficiency, providing a conducive environment for students to showcase their academic abilities and achieve success in their educational endeavors.
