CM Punjab Solar Panel Scheme Roshan Gharana Program Overview
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced a significant initiative of Solar Panel Scheme aimed at distributing 50,000 solar panel systems across the province. This initiative falls under the Roshan Gharana Program launched by the Punjab government. The primary goal is to provide solar electricity to thousands of families in need throughout Punjab. This is a commendable step by the Punjab government to address the electricity shortage issue, which has been a persistent problem in Pakistan, especially during the summer season.
The scheme offers a practical solution for families facing electricity shortages by providing them with solar panel systems by the Government of Punjab. Under CM Punjab’s Solar Panel scheme, approximately fifty thousand low-budget families stand to benefit. To qualify for the scheme, families must have been using only 100 units of electricity per month for the past six months. CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, officially announced the scheme on March 27, 2024, as part of the Roshan Gharana Program.
Selection for the scheme will be based on merit, with eligibility determined by the usage of 100 units per month. The solar panel systems provided will include advanced panel sheets, batteries, inverters, and essential accessories.
