TEHERAN (September 28, 2013) : A shoe was thrown towards Iranian President Hassan Rohani’s car when he was coming back for his call with US President Brack Obama on Saturday, an AFP correspondent reported.
Some 60 hard-line Islamists cantillated “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” as Mr Rohani’s motorcade protracted of Teheran’s Mehrabad Airport.
But they were numbered by 200 to 300 supporters of the President who screamed: “Thank you Rouhani.”
A small police contingent in separated the competitor protesters.
