The Government of Punjab’s School Education Department recently issued a School timing notification after Eid holidays 2024. This notification, referenced as No.SO.(A-1)1-31/2022 dated 9th April 2024, presents the schedule that will be implemented across all government and private schools in the Punjab province.
Effective from the 15th of April 2024 until the 15th of October 2024, the schools will adhere to specific timings tailored for the summer season. These timings have been meticulously designed to ensure efficient academic activities while considering the weather conditions prevalent during this period.
The schedule outlined in the notification categorizes school timings based on single-shift and double-shift schools, accommodating both morning and evening sessions. Let’s delve into the details of these timings:
Single-Shift Schools:
For Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays, the school timing is set from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
On Fridays, the school will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Double-Shift Schools:
Morning Shift: From Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays, the morning shift will commence at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.
On Fridays, the morning shift will conclude at 12:00 noon.
Evening Shift: For the evening shift, Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays will see schools operating from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
On Fridays, the evening session will begin at 2:30 p.m. and conclude at 5:30 p.m.
