Shahrukh Jatoi Appeal Rejected by Supreme Court

SC Rejected the Appeal of Shahrukh Jatoi in Murder of Shahzed Murder case

KARACHI:  Pakistan Supreme Court has rejected an appeal registered by Shahrukh Jatoi challenging the decision to try the Shahzeb Khan Murder case under anti-terrorism laws.

The Supreme Court’s Karachi registry, continued an earlier decision of the Sindh High Court. An anti-terrorism court had passed death sentences to Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur. However, on September 9, Shahzeb Khan’s parents decided to pardon those convicted of their son’s murder in the ‘name of Allah.’

Shahzeb Khan was shot on night of December 24, 2012 after an affray with Siraj Talpur’s servant. Later, Siraj Talpur his brother Sajjad Talpur, their servant Ghulam Mustafa Lashari and Shahrukh Jatoi were accused and convicted of the murder of Shahzeb Khan.
