Islamabad: Pakistan Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar has not confirmed the tour of Pakistan cricket team to India for World T20 due to security issues for Pakistan cricket team.
Pakistan cricket team had planned to visit India before World T20 match that is scheduled to play on 19th March in Dharamsala cricket ground but there is so much conflict from local bodies for Pakistan Cricket team.
Chaudhry Nisar has cleared that “we can’t take any risk unless any security assurance from Indian government is received”.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief also welcomed BCCI and the International Cricket Council (ICC’s) move to shift the venue of Pakistan vs India WT20 match to Kolkata (Calcutta) and said that this move can release worries to some extent.
Now ICC has confirmed Kolkata (Calcutta) venue for Pakistan vs India WT20 match as an alternative due to security issues but spokesperson Sami Ul Hasan told BBC that any decision for Pakistan vs India Cricket match has yet to be made.
Pakistan security assessment team had sent to India on Tuesday and they have submitted a report to Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar which will take final decision , whether Pakistan cricket team will go to India for playing world Cup T20 match in India.
