How to apply for new gas connection in Pakistan

Natural gas has been playing a vital role in the energy sector of Pakistan through its whopping share of 48 per cent. Moreover, fuel is also used for domestic, commercial and industrial purposes.  In Pakistan, the Sui gas field has the largest reserves accounting for a total of 6 % of the country’s gas reserves. There are two major companies namely Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Limited and the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) which are supplying gas to all regions. Here on this page, we will share information on how to install a new gas connection in Pakistan through SNGPL or through SSGC.

For installation of new gas connection first of all you have to make up your mind that what type of sui gas connection you want to install. There is a total of three types of gas connections in Pakistan including domestic, commercial and industrial. Here we will show you the procedure for all above said new gas connections through SNGPL.

How to get Domestic Gas Connection  in Pakistan  SNGPL

• Submission of Application
  Documents Required: Filled Application Form, Copy of CNIC, Property Title Document, Neighbours’ gas bill (preferable), NOC from Development Authority (if applicable)
• Waiting for turn merit (issuance of IT program)
• Site Survey

1. Issuance of Demand Notice on feasible Application
2. Issuance of regret/ intimation on non- feasible Application

• The signing of a contract by the Applicant
• Issuance of the bill of security & service line
• Deposit of security & service line charges into Bank
• Start of Service Agreement ( SA) in a computerized system
• Waiting for the turn (issuance of IT program) for gas connection

Steps to Process Of Commercial Gas Connection

• Submission of application
  Documents required: filled application form, copy of CNIC, property title document, layout map, NOC from govt. Agencies/ development authority (if applicable), NTN, partnership deed/ memorandum/ articles of association, bod resolution (if applicable). Application fee: Rs. 1,000/- (to be deposited in bank)
• Site survey and calculations of load etc.
  In case the distribution network does not exist in front of the premises, 100 % cost shall be charged from the applicant.
  Allocation of load from ho on the basis of the regional survey report
• Issuance of the demand notice on the feasible application
• The signing of a contract by the applicant
  Documents: houseline completion certificate
• Issuance of the bill of security & service line
• Deposit of security & service line charges into bank charges
• Start of service agreement (SA) in a computerized system
• Waiting for a turn (issuance of its program) for gas connection
• Field order for service line & meter installation
• Meter reading & billing on a monthly basis

Steps to Process Of Industrial Gas Connection

•  Submission of Application
  Documents Required: Filled Application Form, Copy of CNIC, Property Title Document, Layout Map, NOC from Govt. Agencies/ Development Authority (if applicable), Partnership Deed/ Memorandum/ Articles of Association, BOD Resolution (if applicable). Application Fee: Rs. 10,000 (to be deposited in Bank)

• • Site Survey and Calculations of Load etc.
    Allocation of Load from HO on the basis of Regional Survey Report
    In case the distribution network does not exist in front of the premises, 100 % cost shall be charged from the applicant.

New Domestic & Commercial Gas Connection Application Processing through SSGC

1. Application forms are available for Customers at Customer Facilitation Centers (CFCs), SSGC Website and Mobile App. A duly completed form along with requisite documents are required to be submitted at CFC.
2. Customer Registration in CC&B (Customer care & billing system)
3. Scrutiny of Documents
4. Physical survey of SITE
5. Approval of the application, if feasible
6. Generation of New Gas Connection Charges Bill / Quotation/issuance to Customer
7. Payment by customer
8. Field Activity creation for installation of service and or gas meter
9. Installation of service connection and or gas meter.

• The customer is updated on the progress of the application through
• Documents check List (To be attached by the customer/applicant with Application Form)
