The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced undergraduate scholarships for students from Balochistan and the erstwhile FATA. This initiative aims to provide educational opportunities to deserving students from these regions, ensuring they can pursue higher education in recognized public and private sector universities across Pakistan.
Eligibility Criteria for HEC Scholarships
To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid domicile of Balochistan or erstwhile FATA.
- Not be availing any other HEC or government scholarship.
- Have acquired the required academic qualifications by the closing date of the advertisement.
- Students already enrolled in medical/dental colleges and engineering programs are not eligible.
Important Notes
- Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and district quota.
- Applicants will be shortlisted based on an aptitude test conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC) – HEC.
- The scholarship and reserve seats distribution ratio for applicants of Balochistan & erstwhile FATA is 60:40.
- Those already enrolled in any bachelor’s program may also apply for the scholarship.
How to Apply
Interested applicants should follow these steps to apply:
- Submit applications online through the HEC website.
- Upload a duly attested copy of the CNIC, applicant’s and father’s domicile, and educational documents.
- Submit the fee through the 1Link invoice payment service.
- Ensure the application is submitted by clicking on “Submit Application / Verify Payment.”
Application Deadline
- The last date for submission of the online application form is October 07, 2024 (Monday).
Tentative Test Date
- The aptitude test is tentatively scheduled for October 20, 2024 (Sunday).
