In a groundbreaking development, the Interior Department of Punjab has collaborated with NADRA to introduce an innovative Punjab Online Arms License System for the issuance, renewal, and modification of arms licenses. The initiative, named “The Punjab Arms License Management System,” was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Citizens in Lahore now have the convenience of renewing and modifying their arms licenses through the user-friendly online portal. One of the notable features of the system is the option for online transfer of arms licenses to heirs, streamlining the process for citizens. Additionally, the arms license will be delivered directly to the applicant’s doorstep, enhancing accessibility.
To facilitate this digital transition, 11 counters have been strategically established across Lahore, including locations such as Sanda Road, Abbott Road, Peko Road, and Johar Town areas. Furthermore, counters have been set up in other key districts like Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Okara, and Kasur.
Expressing his optimism about the initiative, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that this innovative approach will significantly contribute to reducing crime related to arms licenses and curb corruption in the process. The online system not only offers convenience to citizens but also marks a pivotal step towards a more transparent and efficient governance model in Punjab.
