PM imran khan to remove hurdles  industrial sector

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing a meeting on implementation of mobile device manufacturing in Pakistan directed the authorities concerned to remove all impediments and hurdles for foreign investment. Prime minister Imran Khan said that the provision of all facilities will encourage the stakeholders and foreign investment and ultimately ensure the growth of production that will minimize unemployment in Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar, PM’s Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Finance Adviser Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Adviser on Institutional Reforms Dr. Ishrat Hussain, PM’s Special Assistant Dr. Waqar Masood, Chairman Board of Investment Atif Bukhari, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Javed Ghani, Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Major Amir Azeem Bajwa (retd) and other senior officials.

 PM Imran Khan said that this government mainly boosts the country’s industrial section and providing jobs for unemployed youth.  The detailed briefing was given to Prime Minister Imran Khan by the minister of Industries and production that Pakistan has a huge market with over 40 million mobile phones purchased annually.

The meeting was told that implementation of Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) system, the smuggling of mobile phones had been controlled and increased the revenue from Rs 22 billion to 54 Rs 54 billion and several multinational companies have shown their keen interest to manufacture mobile phones in Pakistan.
