PIA Flights Plan of Hajj Operation 2013

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) would facilitate more than 70,000 worshippers to travel to Saudi Arabia on 160 pre-Hajj flights this year. The first flight for the pilgrims will start on September 9 from three cities including Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore respectively; it is said on Thursday by Managing Director of the national flag carrier, Junaid Yunus during a briefing held at the PIA head office.

The Pre- Hajj Operations would start on 9 September to October 9 2013 and hajj Session would start from October 19 to November 18 2013. The entire Hajj Operation would be managed only by Pakistan International Airlines without renting any other air craft. This year more than 47,000 people would perform Hajj on Government Quota and 23,000 pilgrims would perform Hajj on private Quota.

This year PIA can go to get some profit if fulfilled all these Plans for pilgrims during Hajj session.

 The PIA would operate hajj Flights with   two Boeings named 747 and 777 from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan and Sialkot. One Aircraft will be standby at all the mentioned stations.

The Managing Director Junaid Junus said that Boeing 747 aircraft has a seating capacity of 503 and Boeing 777 has a seating capacity of 329.
