Islamabad:, Dr Prof Atta-ur-Rahman The former chairman of the Higher Education Commission Pakistan has briefed that soon Pakistan will be among the countries having quality of education on combined online system  and all  detail of  courses and curriculum will be provided online with the help of top world class universities. He exposed this on the Second National Conference on Space Science.

He further said that search engine is on final stage and it will guide the candidates to search free online learning courses. The Hussain Ebrahim Jamal (HEJ) Institute of Chemistry will take the first step and best available programs will be pointed out through this search engine like MIT open course ware, Audacity, Courses, Virtual University of Pakistan, Khan Academy, and other courses. The project is being completed with the collaboration of international universities like MIT and Harvard and after its inaugural these universities will also support to provide the instructive material which will also be good for other countries of the world, he stated.

After its beginning Pakistan will stand first among the other countries in furnishing of online educational material on a single platform.

Institute of Planetary Astrophysics (ISPA), University of Karachi is organizing the World Space Week 2013 in which around 60 research papers and demonstrations will be accessible. On the first day of league various scholars and representative participated form Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARKO), Institute of Space Technology, ISPA, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology and other institutes.

The Space Week celebrations are being organized under the topic “Exploring Mars, Discovering Earth”.
