MQM Demanded Sweeping Changes in the top brass of Karachi Police

MQM Warn Govt to Change Top Cops of Karachi in 24 Hours

KARACHI: MQM give warning to the Govt to Change Top Cops of Karachi Police in just 24 hours after the arrest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker just before his wedding, Geo News reported.

“We will not leave here until the government removes the city’s senior officer’s top cops to elsewhere. We are giving them 24 hours to meet our demands”, A statement by MQM leader Wasay Jalil to Media outside Karachi Press Club (KPC).

An MQM statement, which came on the heels of Aziz’s arrest, vehemently sentenced it as an incident of political exploitation.

“This is a blatant case of political victimization. Aziz, who has an faultless criminal record, was oppressed only for his affiliation with MQM.

When asked how MQM would react if its demands, which seem to be too aspirational for the government to meet, were refused, Jalil, said, “A future line of action will be announced in due time”

Jalil added that Aziz was also a nominated MQM candidate for the upcoming local government elections.

MQM leader, Amir Khan, was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, MQM worker, Fahad Aziz, a resident of Korangi, was taken into custody of police, while he was leading his Baraat (wedding ceremoney) towards a Shah Faisal Colony marriage Hall, where he was to wed his bride.
