Malala meets with queen Elizabeth

LONDON (18 OCT 2013): Malala Yousafzai met with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace today on Friday.

The 16-year-old Pakistani teenager cleric who was shot by the Taliban attack last year in her hometown of Swat was companioned by her father. Malala showed Queen Elizabeth a copy of her recently published autobiography ‘I Am Malala’ telling her that it was a great honor for her to be there. 

After taking the gift the Queen Elizabeth replied, “That’s very kind of you.”

During the meeting, Malala talked over the importance of education for every child around the world

Malala Yousafzai now rests in Birmingham after getting treatment for her bullet wound. She has received worldwide credit following the attack, speaking the United Nations and was also appointed for the Nobel Peace Prize.
