Alam was 78 years old at the time of his death. In Pak India War of 1965 he was piloting an F-86 Sabre, shot down five Indian war planes in less than a minute during the war and altogether, downed nine war planes in the aerial fighting. His record remains unbeaten.
He was awarded by Sitara e Jurat. He also became Jet Ace in in one mission.
He is also known as “little Dragon” by his nick name. He was born in 1935 in Calcutta (India). He joined Military force against his father wish. Earlier he had no one in Military in his family. He was the eldest of his 11 siblings. Air Commodore was retired in 1982 But his name is alive in Pakistan history.
