The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province is going to launch helicopter service for tourists which come from all over the world to see the beauty of Pakistan and its mountains, valleys, rivers as well as the second highest peak of the world K-2.
On Tuesday 18.06.2019 Mr. Atif Khan the Minister for Sports and Tourism of Kyber Pakhtunkha (KPK) said to media that government has taken initiative to talk with private companies to start Helicopter Service in Pakistan to promote Tourism and make it easy for foreigners to get their best interest for visiting Pakistan.
He further said that this aerial service will not be used only for natives or Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) but it would also be used for tourists from Lahore and Islamabad as well as for foreigners. It will cover all places of KPK through aerial scenes.
Mr. Atif Khan said that the agreement will be signed soon.
In first phase the Helicopter service for Tourists will be started to show the valleys of Swat, Kalam, Chitral and then it will be expanded gradually.
This service will be so helpful for visitors from Punjab as they take 14-hours to reach in Chitral and this distance will be reduced for only two hours. The PTI government is hopeful to promote tourism in Pakistan. It is worth mentioning here that KPK government has earned mark a record Rs. 20 billion for a total of 75 schemes in sports, tourism, culture and youth affairs in fiscal budget 2019-20.
