Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi Passed Away due to Heart Attack

Karachi: A renowned religious scholar Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 76. He was shifted to Agha Khan Hospital last night on account of his cardiac arrest and chronic diseases. His dead body will be shifted to Ancholi.

He was born on March 24, 1944, in Lucknow, India. He was a  renowned Pakistani scholar, religious leader, orator, and Urdu poet. His father’s name was Syed Zaheer Hassan Naqvi while his mother’s name was Syeda Mohsina Zaheer Naqvi. He was named Zaheer at the time of his birth. He migrated to Pakistan in 1967 and settled in Karachi. Academically, he matriculated from Hussainabad School, Lucknow and completed Intermediate from Government Jubilee College, Lucknow and then graduated from Shia College, Lucknow
