Iqbal was born in Sialkot on November 9, 1877. He get his early education from Sialkot murrey College and then go to abroad for higher studies. He is known as Muffakir-e-Pakistan, Shair-e-Mashriq and Hakeemul Ummat.
He wrote many books In Urdu and Persian languages. Asrar-e-Khudi, Payam-i-Mashriq, Bang-i-Dara, Bal-i-Jibril, Zarb-i Kalim and Armughan-e-Hijaz were amongst his best works.
He was the great hero of Pakistan. He give the concept to make new separate country for the muslims of subcontinent.
He passed away in Lahore on April 21, 1938
