HARARE(Wednesday, 4th September) : Zimbabwe succeeded in gaining first innings lead over Pakistan on second day of the 1st Test here at the Harare Sports Club ground on Wednesday.

At stumps, they were batting on 281 for seven, taking a 32-run lead with three wickets in hand.
Elton Chigumbura (40) and Shingi Masakadza (2) were present at the crease when the second day’s play ended.
Off-spinner Saeed Ajmal was the most successful bowler for Pakistan taking four wickets for 77 while seamers Junaid Khan and Rahat Ali got two for 61 and one for 53 respectively.
Earlier middle-order batsmen Malcolm Waller and Sikandar Raza fought back bravely and both made half-centuries. They added 127 runs for the fourth wicket partnership after Zimbabwe were in trouble with 68 for three.
Waller made 70 with 14 fours while Raza, who was playing his first Test, scored 60 with the help of ten boundaries. Geotv.
