Karachi: Pakistan fast rising snooker super star Muhammad majid forced to the semi-final of 14th Asian Snooker Championship over Victory of 5-2 with Zhu Yinghui of China in Indore (India) on Saturday.
20-year-old from Faisalabad, who is boasting in his second Asian junior event, bounced back from 1-2 shortfalls to surprise his fancied opponent with brilliant tactical play and controlled potting in the quarter-final.
Majid started well by grabbing the opening frame. But Lu Ning cameback strongly, picked up next two frame to forge 2-1 ahead with a break of 61 in third frame.
Without getting any pressure, Majid potted with consistence and in noteworthy turnaround he won the next four frames at trot to chalk out an impressive win.
