In this regard a memo of understanding has been signed in recent times between AIOU and COL for coaction in the educational sector of both countries. A survey was organized by COL and the results showed that AIOU is working well for the promotion of education according to the international standards across the country. AIOU has announced the year 2013 will be the year of quality assurance.
Moreover, the initiative to build up “Open Schools” in remote areas across the country has been started by the Allama Iqbal Open University. Around 100, 000 open schools will be set up which aims to engage all the students in education that are not getting education due to some reasons. The main focused has been stressed on the girls’ education to increase the literary rate in Pakistan.
AIOU Vice-Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmed Sangi exposed this news while presiding over at the first Business Graduates Meeting which was organized at National University of Modern Languages (NUML).
AIOU Vice-Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmed Sangi also asks the different education schools and govt organizations to support this program to increase rate in Girl education. However the schools will be build up only in particular sectors of different districts to deliver Educational facilities in schools in primary and secondary Level.
